In Jamaica to “cook good food for another is a calling gesture. Like southern hospitality! I moved to Montgomery from Manchester, Jamaica with our two young sons to join my active duty husband on Maxwell Air Base. In 2001, my husband asked that I grill my Jamaican Jerk Chicken for his squadron.
They loved it! The General suggested we open a restaurant… so we did! In 2002, our first location opened near the front gates of Maxwell. The years went by, lines grew longer! Guests continued to ask us for a larger, second location with even more authentic Jamaican family recipes!
So here we are! Proud to bring you the true essence of Jamaica! Montgomery is home now but Jamaica is my homeland! I encourage you to try menu items less familiar to you.
